After a lot more reading and a lot of trial and error we found out that our pigeon needed to be feed through a tube. We needed to find a way of replicating the way in which the pigeons mother would feed and this is by the baby placing his beak into his mother beak. We found out that by placing a finger of a rubber glove over the end of an icing syringe we would be able to do this. We started off by feeding him porridge oats mixed with water, but later in the afternoon went to Holland and Barrett and bought some finely ground wheat. This would give our pigeon some variety, the pigeon is also now named 'Charlie' as we don't know the pigeons gender, and its suits a boy or a girl. As you can see he gets a little scruffy after feeding, so we gently wash him down with a warm, damp flannel. Charlie is such a lovely bird with a really sweet character.
